In line with her administration’s priority thrust on health, Mayor Beng Climaco yesterday inaugurated the newly rehabilitated health center amounting to P760,000 in Barangay Lanzones, east of this city.

Joining the mayor were City Health Officer Dr. Rodel Agbulos, City Engineer Luis Despalo and the barangay officials headed by Chairwoman Leonora Bernardo together with some of her constituents.

In her message, Mayor Climaco urged the barangay officials and residents of Lanzones to take good care of the health facility, stressing that such is a tool for keeping them and the people from neighboring barangays healthy.

Climaco said her administration remains focused on three major thrusts in local governance— Security, Health and Education or S.H.E.

These thrusts, she said, are her guiding principles whenever she makes decisions for the good of the city and its people.

She said good health has a positive effect on the productivity of the people, for which she urged people, especially civic organizations to also give prior importance to the health care of its members by visiting the health center regularly when the need arises, considering the distance of Lanzones to the city proper where health services abound.

To the children, Climaco said staying healthy is vital for proper growth and development of their mind and body as they require enough energy tomspend the entire day in school.

“They should be able to focus in the classroom and fully participate in the activities on the field. For this, they need proper nutrition,” she said. — Vic Larato
