HPG-9 men recover stolen Toyota Vios PDF Print E-mail

Men of the Highway  Patrol Group-9 have recovered a carnapped Toyota Vios.

HPG 9 case investigator Insp. S. Mervin Claret disclosed that HPG-9 operatives led by Chief Insp. Alejandro O. Espiritu III with Insp. Joseph M. Fontanilla Jr. SPO1 Joel L. Claret, PO3 Bobby Solis and PO3 Albert Mamaril recovered the Toyota Vios while  conducting anti-carnapping operations in Barangay Ayala.

The car was flagged down for having no validating sticker for the calendar year 2014. It was driven by Mussal Tang of Ayala

Claret described the Toyota Vios as color Blue with plate number PGO227 (Attached) and engine number 2NZ5718885. When it was checked with the Motorvehicle Information Management System ( MVIMS ) which is linked mationwide via internet, it was found out that blue Toyota Vios is under Alarm Number 2014- 0103-024  with assigned plate number BEV88. It is owned by a certain B.  Chua of Cristobal Street, Paco, Manila. It was reported lost in Barangay Carsadang Bago 2 in Cavite on May 20, 2014.

HPG-9 chief Sr. Supt. Severino B. Agustin ordered Espiritu to coordinate with the Police Regional Office 9 Crime Laboratory for the conduct of macro-etching examination and  further investigation on the recovery of the car with a report to be sent to the HPG National Headquarters so that the real owner will be informed.
