A tricycle driver was shot and wounded by one of two men riding on a motorcycle at the junction of Tumaga Cabato Roads yesterday morning.
The victim was identified as Ronald Dinglasa, 28, of Tumaga.

Police said that Dinglasa was driving a tricycle on the way to city proper about 5 a.m. when two men riding tandem on a motorcycle appeared and the backrider shot him at the junction of Tumaga and Cabato Roads.    

The gunmen sped away after shooting Dinglasa, who was taken to the hospital by concerned people.
A follow-up operation carried out by the Sta. Maria police in Tumaga resulted in the arrest of Junie Eso and Ronald Mercado.

Based on investigation, Eso was driving the motorcycle while Mercado was the triggerman who shot Dinglasa.

Police learned that Dinglasa and the two had a previous personal dispute.
Eso and Mercado were detained at the Sta. Maria Police Station pending the filing of charges against them in court. — Dan Toribio Jr.
