Police Regional Office 9’s Chief Regional Health Service 9 Supt. Abita A.  Mates has reminded all policemen in the region to get involved in any sports activity and physical fitness program to stay healthy and physically fit in serving the people.

Mates explained that physically and mentally healthy is essential for policemen in serving the people.

She said that policemen should not involve in any bad vices and too much drinking alcohol because it is bad to their health and also it will affect their performance and their family.

“Every policeman should  stay healthy in delivering their services to  the people”, Mates stressed.

Mates said this reminder is one of the messages during the 21st  Founding Anniversary celebration of the Philippine National Police Health Service in Camp Crame last November 24 -26, with the theme “  Malusog na  Pangangatawan at Isipan na Kapulisan para sa Katuparan ng Serbisyong Makatotohanan”.

Mates also said that relative to the reminder, the Philippine National Police has a regular program wherein all policemen must involve in sports activities and physical fitness program  during athletic days every Tuesday and Thursday — Allen Abastillas
