The Caballeros de Colon de Zamboanga, Inc. (Knights of Columbus) will conduct its 7th General Assembly on December 6, 2014 with the theme: “KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS DEFENDER OF FAITH” to be held at Royce Convention Center, Grand Astoria Hotel, Mayor Jaldon St.

The Knights of Columbus is the world’s largest Catholic fraternal service organization and was founded by the Venerable Father Michael McGivney in Haven, Connecticut USA in 1882. It  was named in honor of mariner Christopher Columbus.

This is an annual gathering aimed to foster friendship and camaraderie among its 300 members of the Caballeros de Colon de Zamboanga, Inc., according to SK Vic “Catala” Liozo, Jr., chairman of the Board of Trustees.

The participants to the one day assembly will come from the 36 KOFC councils in the Archdiocese of Zamboanga City. However, knights from the neighboring provinces are welcome to attend the said gathering.

Personalities invited to attend were: Cong. Celso L. Lobregat as Resource Speaker on the topic: BANGSAMORO BASIC LAW, Most Rev. Romulo T. De La Cruz, D.D. as Guest of Honor and Speaker and Mayor Maria Isabelle Climaco as Inspirational Speaker while Bro. Gerky Valesco as Moderator during the open forum.

Capping the assembly is a raffle draw.
