Men of the Highway Patrol Group -9 conducted last weekend random anti-carnapping operations along the different highways in the city.

Chief Insp. Alejandro O. Espiritu III, HPG-9 deputy regional Chief, disclosed that there has been heavy influx lately of motorvehicles  in the city because of the yuletide season.

According to Espiritu, there is a need to double check and monitor the entry and exit of every motorvehicle as carnappers will take advantage of the situation because people from the different places in the region come to the city  to make shopping or on vacation and family reunions and other gatherings.

Sr. Supt. Severino V. Agustin, HPG-9 regional chief, called on the people to help law enforcers in the campaign against carnapping because their information is very essential to the HPG operations.

Agustin also urged the people especially those who want to acquire second-hand motorvehicle to visit his office for the checking of the status of the unit they want to buy so as to avoid waste of money. — AlAllen8captionphoto.
