The Italian Food Festival will be a showcase of an array of authentic Italian cuisines which will be sold at affordable prices. The menu includes torta pascualina, lasagna, baked macaroni, pizza napoletana, pizza vegetarian, pizza with beef or chicken, panzerotti and pane foccacia. And to complement the Italian food, one can sip a glass of cold beer or other San Miguel products which will be able at the different existing stalls.

Mayor Celso Lobregat invites all residents and visitors to participate and join in the Italian Food festival where original Italian food and entertainment will be available for everyone’s delight.

The first ever Italian Food Festival in Zamboanga comes only a few days after the city government concluded the 2011 Summer Festival, a month-long series of activities intended to involve the community and provide wholesome entertainment to local residents as well as visitors during summer.
Meanwhile, another spectacular event, the lights festival, awaits Zamboanguenos on Sunday, June 5.

Considered the first of its kind in Western Mindanao, the Lights Festival will be a competition and participants will be local sound and lights providers. It will be held at the Fort Pilar façade on June 5 at 8pm. — Sheila Covarrubias
