2 more nabbed in anti-drug campaign PDF Print E-mail

Two more persons were arrested early this week in separate anti-illegal drug operations.

Around 7 p.m. Tuesday, men of the Labuan police station led by Sr. Insp. Chester Natividad arrested Dominador Montuno y Sevillano, 51, of Sitio Miluao, Patalon during a buy-bust operation.

Natividad said his team recovered from the suspect’s possession P300 marked money, shotgun with five rounds of ammunition, P2,810 in cash, six cell phones, two pairs of scissors, stainless guide, four cutting blades, three torch needles, five strips of tissue, one rolled aluminum foil strip, eight used foil, 12 used empty sachets, two sachets of suspected shabu including the buy bust item and 56 disposable lighters.

Montuno was detained at the Labuan police station while the seized items were forwarded to the 9th PNP Crime laboratory for examination.

Meanwhile, men of the Zamboanga City Public Safety Company on Monday night nabbed Erbert Carpizo y Morasa, 35, of Putik  in front of the Guiwan Bus Terminal. Recovered from his possession were three sachets of suspected shabu and drug paraphernalia.

Police said that Carpizo was held by policemen for traffic violation at a checkpoint. However during inspection, police recovered the prohibited items from his possession. — Dan Toribio
