2 brods hurt in grenade attack PDF Print E-mail

A man and his 15-year-old brother were seriously wounded in a grenade attack in Barangay Tuluan, Tambulig, Zamboanga del Sur, last Monday night.
Wounded were Richard Diaz, 24, single and his younger brother Rommel. Both sustained multiple shrapnel wounds in the different parts of their bodies. They were rushed to the Medina Hospital.

Police said the incident happened about 9 p.m. when the victims together with other members of the family were inside their house. A motorcycle with two men aboard stopped in front. Diaz and his brother went outside to verify, but an M2K fragmentation grenade exploded near them.

The grenade thrower and his companion sped towards unknown direction while the two brothers were rushed to the hospital by their parents.
Recovered at the scene were the safety lever of the grenade.— Noning R. Antonio
