Police urged to conduct info drive on ‘cracker ban PDF Print E-mail

City Police Director Sr. Supt. Angelito  Casimiro has reminded police precinct commanders to conduct an information campaign to make people in their areas of jurisdiction aware of the total ban on the use pyrotechnics and firecrackers and other fireworks during the Christmas  and New Year’s Eve revelries..

In a press briefing Monday, Casimiro said the City Council had enacted an ordinance signed and approved by Mayor Beng Climaco-Salazar imposing total ban on such dangerous articles that are hazardous to  health and environment as well can be mistaken as terror attacks.

Meanwhile,Casimiro advised local residents to secure their houses with padlocks or wachers or with guard before going to nine-day dawn  Misa de Gallo”.

The police director gave the advice even as police gathered that there are  thieves from other places  coming here in the city to take advantage of the yuletide season.
