Five persons including a policewoman were injured after they were attacked by an angry carabao at Gutierez, Barangay Putik Wednesday morning.

Injured were SPO1 Sylvia Dicen, 39, of the Police Station 5 based in Divisoria, Gian Ozzy Castro Romo, 6, Joseph Falcasantos Pulad, 34, Sarah Jean Montilla Seballos, 20 and Shikenah Tueres, 15.

Chief Insp. Mark Azur of the Police Station 5 said all the victims sustained injuries in their body and were taken to the hospital.

Investigation showed that the carabao owned by Putik Barangay Kagawad  Mariano Nolia was being readied for slaughter when it suddenly went wild and gored all the five victims.

SPO1 Dicen was trying to rescue Romo when she too was attacked.

A car parked in the vicinity incurred damages after the angry carabao rammed it with its horn.

The animal was later restrained and slaughtered. — Dan Toribio
