Troops hunt Abus holding seven-year-old boy in Sulu PDF Print E-mail

Troops of the military’s Special Operation Group (SOG) continued on Saturday the hunt  suspected Abu Sayyaf gunmen who abducted a a seven-year-old boy in Barangay Asturias, Jolo, Sulu Tuesday last week.

The search for the kidnappers spread in different villages near Jolo town proper where they they could have sought taken their young hostage identified as Eljon Marzo.

Report received from the Special Operation Group (SOG) under Colonel Reynaldo M. Aquino, disclosed that Marzo was snatched by two unidentified armed men believed to be Abu Sayyaf Group members.

According to Ensign Chester Ian P. Ramos, Public Affairs Officer of the Joint Task Force ZAMBAZULTA, Marzo also known as Jeeboy is a student of Notre Dame of Jolo and son of Maimbung Municipal Treasurer Jun Marzo.

Jeeboy was playing outside their house when he was grabbed by the suspected Abu Sayyaf kidnappers and took him aboard a motorcycle that fled towards Barangay Anuling, Patikul, Sulu.

One of the abductors was identified as ASG Sub-Leader Namyel Ahajari a.k.a Gapas
