2 carnapped vehicles recovered in Zambo PDF Print E-mail

Men of the Highway Patrol Group-9 recovered two carnapped vehicles in a series of anti-carnapping operations recently.

HPG-9 Chief Sr. Supt. Severino  B. Agustin said the two recovered vehicles are a Mitsubishi Montero and a Toyota Vios.

The gray Mitsubishi Montero model 2009 with plate number SAL 88, was  registered in San  Antonio, Nueva Ecija.

The black  Toyota Vios model 2012 with plate number FHS 346 was registered in Calumpang, Iloilo City.

Case Investigator Sr. Insp. Marvin Claret disclosed that during the operations the Montero was  flagged down on Wednesday around 6:45 in the evening along  R.T Lim Boulevard with an initial violation of heavily tinted windshield.    When its document was checked with the HPG Vehicle  Information Management System (VIMS ) on the actual chassis. It was found out that it is under the list of  stolen/wanted motorvehicles under alarm number 2010 -1119 -088.

The Vios was also reported by its owner to have been stolen while parked in Iloilo. HPG-9 found out after checking it with the VISM  that it is a stolen/wanted vehicle under alarm number20130812.

Claret said the series of operations was led by Supt. Alejandro O. Espiritu III together with SPO1 Bobby Solis, SPO1 Marvin M. Flores, PO2 John Lester C. Lievado, PO2 Juvie M. Dalogdog, PO2 Janryl Niño P. Limocon, POI Elvin L. Baes, POI Mark Joseph V. Ybañez and  PO3 Albert N. Mamaril. The HPG-9  operatives were backed up by the Presidential Anti- Organized Crime Commission ( PAOCC ).

Agustin said the names of the possessors of the two recovered vehicles were withheld pending further investigation.

Agustin added that the two vehicles have been impounded at Camp Batalla for macro- etching examination by the PNP Crime Laboratory-9. — Allen Abastillas
