The military’s Western Mindanao Command announced Saturday that all its available units are assisting the local police in identifying and arresting the perpetrators behind the explosion in Guiwan Friday which killed two  people and wounded 57 others.

“We are currently exhausting all efforts to assist the local police in the conduct of investigations,” Western Mindanao Command head Lt. Gen. Rustico O. Guerrero said.

He added that Joint Task Force ZAMBASULTA (Zamboanga, Basilan, Sulu and Tawi-Tawi) alerted all troops to cordon and monitor the incident.

The blast took place at 3: 15 p.m. outside Fantacy club near the Lobregat highway.
