3 suspects in Guiwan bomb blast charged PDF Print E-mail

Police submitted to the city prosecutor office yesterday cases of illegal possession of firearm, double murder and multiple frustrated murder against three persons in connection with the deadly explosion in Guiwan last week.

DZT gathered the identities of the suspects as Babylyn Jul Ismael Muallam, her son Isrhaly Muallam and a cohort identified as Aldamer Sahibuddin, all residents of Cabatangan.

The suspects were arrested during a hot pursuit operation at their residence.  Recovered at the house was an M4 rifle.

It was learned that before the explosion, the kia pride sedan that was used as a carbomb was seen in their house.

Police also found a picture of the suspects where the car bomb was caught in photo.

It was learned that several other cohorts were no longer in their house during the operation.

Police along with the suspects were still at the prosecutor office as of press time.

DZT tried to get statement from police officials but no one was available.

The deadly bomb attack killed a mechanic and a tricycle driver and wounded 57 others.

President Aquino arrived in Zamboanga City Sunday to comfort the familiesof the two fatalities. He also visited those wounded confined in three hospitals.

Mayor Beng Climaco linked the bomb attack to the foiled Abu Sayyaf jailbreak plot at the city jail where three 45. cal. pistols were seized last week. — Dan Toribio
