The Highway Patrol Group-9 has readied a case against a two persons for violation  of the anti fencing law.

HPG-9 case officer Sr. Insp, Marvin Claret disclosed that the two persons involved sold a carnapped vehicle  to a woman from Baliwasan Seaside, this city.

Claret described  the motorvehicle as a chestnut red Mitsubishi Adventure model 2010 with plate number PIP- 453. Its registered owner is from Tondo Manila. It is under alarm number 2014 – 0711 – 031.

Claret explained that after a thorough investigation conducted by HPG 9, a criminal case is now ready against the two suspects who sold the car to an innocent person who did not  know the real status of the vehicle.

PO1 Alhajar Hamjani, HPG-9 investigator, said the vehicle was recovered last December while HPG-9 operatives were conducting an anti-carnaping operations in Baliwasan Seaside.

After a macro-etching examination carried out by the 9th Crime Laboratory and in coordination with Camp Crame, all documents and evidences are ready for filing with the City Prosecutor’s Office

Sr. Supt. Severino B. Agustin, HPG-9 chief, urged the public to assert their rights and come to HPG-9 for the authentication of the registration of any vehicle being sold to them.

“Buyers should not hurriedly  pay for the unit just because it is cheap,” Agustin advised. — Allen Abastillas
