With the theme, “Preserving the Culture and Tradition of the Subanen People,” the activity hopes to maintain and pass on to the next generation the ideals, beliefs and practices of the Subanen tribe.

Moreover, some six “Gohoms” or justice officials composed mainly of “Timuays”, “Mana-mana”, “Saliling”, “Tumanggong”, “Kapitan”, “Sanghaliya”, and “Solong” of the Subanen tribe were installed.

“Their role is of great importance to the tribe. They will serve the Subanen people for the better good and in the promotion of Subanen customs,” Datu Canto said.
