A businessman narrowly escaped death in a gun attack in Talon-Talon Loop Saturday night.

Remy Aliangan y Tingana, 38, of Mampang, told the police he was on his way home around 7:45 p.m. along Talon-Talon Loop when an unidentified man tailing him, opened fire near 3J’s store. The shot missed its target

Aliangan stopped and faced the gunman who squeezed the trigger of his .45 caliber pistol again. He managed to make a karate chop on the gunman’s hand, causing the gun it to fire towards the ground.

Police said the slug hit the concrete ground and a piece of broken cement ricocheted and hit Aliangan’s stomach.

The gunman then sped away aboard his motorcycle while Aliangan rushed to the Tetuan Police Station to report the incident.
