CEO completed P600.87 million projects in 2014 PDF Print E-mail

The City Engineer’s Office has completed a total of 52 priority projects amounting to a total of P600.876 million in 2014.

Of the total amount, P84.47 million were spent for the construction of school buildings specifically the  Manicahan National High School, Ayala National High School, Bunguiao National High School, Talon-Talon National High School and Tulungatung National High School.

To develop the tourism potential and growth of the city, the CEO under Engr. Luis Vicente Despalo completed the improvement of the road leading to Merloquet Falls in Sibulao. The project included the construction of stairs with benches and box culvert.

Other tourism-related projects were implemented at the Great Sta. Cruz Island in which the construction and rehabilitation cost P7.5 M and P15M respectively.

Other improvement projects included the realization of the farm-to-market road  from Ayala to La Paz worth P20.2 million, the construction of Limaong Bridge worth P130 million and the construction of infrastructures at the Main Market at P54.104 million.

Along with these projects was the upgrading and construction of the City’s sanitary landfill in Salaan and the Integrated Bus Terminal in Divisoria. The said projects cost a total of P250.39 million. — Ella Dee Phuddih Cruz-WMSU OJT, City Hall
