Retired cop shot dead in Lamitan PDF Print E-mail

A retired policeman was killed in yet another gun violence in Lamitan City, Basilan on Saturday.

A police reported identified the fatality as Ramon H. Lahaman, 49,of Barangay Balobo. He suffered multiple gunshot wounds, but investigators found only one spent shell of cal. 5.56mm (M-16 rifle).

Lahaman was shot around 9:20 a.m. and the gunman has yet to be identified

No other details were available on the shooting.

Lahaman’s killing came a day after a tricycle driver was shot dead and his three-year-old passenger was wounded in a gun attack in Lamitan City.

Benito Salvin, 45, of Barangay Baas, was killed, while Hurman Usong, his passenger was wounded when gunmen riding tandem on a motorcycle opened fire on them around 7:30 a.m. in Barangay Parangbasak, Lamitan City.
