5 young leaders get RT Lim award PDF Print E-mail

The city government of Zamboanga and the Junior Chamber International Zamboanga have chosen this year’s five outstanding Zamboanga young leaders in remembrance of Senator Roseller T. Lim’s 100 years legacy of greatness and service.

The awardees were honored during the awards night Monday at the Garden Orchid Hotel, where each received plaques of recognition and cash incentives.

Among the awardees was Khenn Arquiza, a political science student of the Western Mindanao State University, where he is the vice president for creative media, I Can make a difference, Inc., lead implementer for Sta. Cruz Island, Yellow Boat of Hope Foundation, Inc.

He is an events organizer, civic works, design and concept.

Also awarded was Fharnieza S. Mohammad, a certified servant leader, and a recipient of various awards like the Chief Girl Scout Medal, Young Peace Weaver Award, Women of Achievement- Young Emerald, and best orator (regional and citywide).

The other awardee was Adriel Earl A. Toribio of Ateneo de Zamboanga University, who is also a recipient of various other awards, among which the Mga Bagong Rizal Pag-asa ng Bayan National Awardee 2013, Maria Clara Lorenzo Lobregat Award of Excellence for Leadership Awardee 2014.

The other awardees were Marti W. Gregorio, a registered nurse, and Charmaine Key Aurea, chairperson of Akbayan Youth Zamboanga and convener of National Youth Parliament. — VTL
