City Hall: Feb. 18 deadline for Achievers’ nomination Print

City Hall reminds prospective nominees in the Search for 2015 Local Achievers’ Award, of the deadline set for the submission of nomination which is set Wednesday, Feb. 18.

Nomination forms may be obtained from the Public Information Division under the Office of the City Mayor, 2nd floor City Hall annex building, telephone numbers 062-990-1356.

The search is one of the highlights of the Dia de Zamboanga celebration on Feb. 26 and covers the fields on sports, culture and arts, public service, City Government service, community service, investment promotion, tourism-oriented establishment and the highest award- Orgullo de Zamboanga Primiar. Two other award categories include the top local corporate taxpayer and the top local individual taxpayer.

The Local Achievers Award is now on its 13th year. It is aimed to confer honor and prestige to Zamboangueños who have attained exceptional achievements and victories in various fields of endeavours.

Candidates may come from any field, including the academe, business and government. Those contributions must be documented and supported by several individuals who can personally attest to the importance of the candidate’s contribution. Nomination of this award may be made by any individual, group, organization or institution.

The awarding ceremony is set on February 27 at 7pm at Centro Latino in Paseo del Mar. — Sheila Covarrubias
