A habal-habal driver was shot and wounded by gunmen who ran away with his motorcycle in Tetuan last Tuesday night.
The victim was identified as Dameri Muwa y Tupang, 36, of San Roque.

A police report disclosed that Muwa took a male passenger to Tetuan but while they were on the way to the destination, two men aboard another motorcycle tailed them.

At the dimly lit part of JD Cruz St., Tetuan, the passenger shot Muwa in the left check.
Although wounded, Muwa managed to drive the motorcycle until he bumped a shanty.
Muwa then ran towards Saavedra compound and screamed for help.

The gunman chased him and took his motorcycle then continued tailing him.
But seeing some residents in the area, the gunmen wthdrew and fired one more shot on the air before speeding away from the scene aboard two motorcycles.

The victim was taken to the Zamboanga City Medical Center by concerned residents.
Recovered at the scene was one live bullet of .45 caliber pistol. — Dan Toribio Jr.
