Motorcade replaces Unity Walk for Fire Prevention Month celebration PDF Print E-mail

The Zamboanga City Fire District announced on Thursday that the annual Unity Walk 2015 in observance of the 48th National Fire Prevention Month earlier scheduled for March 1 has beencancelled.

In an information relayed to District Fire Marshal, Supt. Dominador F. Zabala Jr. from Mayor Maria Isabelle G. Climaco, the Unity Walk has been cancelled due to an urgent security reason. Instead the Office of the District Fire Marshal has resolved to conduct a motorcade activity to mark the kick-off of the 48th Fire Prevention Month celebration on the same date.

City Administrator Antonio G. Orendain Jr. has granted a permission to hold the motorcade activity. The assembly place will be the Zamboanga District Central Fire Station along Mayor Climaco Avenue. It will commence at 8:00 in the morning enroute to San Jose Road-Baliwasan Moret (Airport Road) – Governor Camins Ave. – Veterans Avenue – Pilar Street – Gov. Alvarez Street – JS Alano Street – Climaco Avenue, then back to station.
