A Bureau of Jail Management and Penology personnel was jailed Saturday for possession of suspected shabu.

A police report disclosed that men of the Zamboanga City Public Safety Company intercepted Archie Mancenido y Bernardo, 32, in Canelar Moret for various traffic violations.

However during interrogation, policemen found out he was carrying a pistol for which he could not present papers to allow him to carry the gun.

Mancenido was taken to Police Station 11  where three sachets of suspected shabu were found inside the bag of Mancenido.

Mancenido was detained for filing of charges in court.

Chief Insp. Edilberto Alvarez, OIC chief of Central Police Station, disclosed that Mancenido will be charged for violation of RA 9165 and RA 4136. — Dan Toribio
