SAF trooper shot, hurt PDF Print E-mail

A policeman ofthe Special Action Force was shot and wounded by his colleague inside their barracks at Lopez subdivision in Calarian last Sunday night.

PO3 Brendonlord Supetran y Sabayle, 31, married, sustained a bullet wound in the stomach and was taken to the hospital.

The gunman,PO3 Benwel Jupuri y Buldani, 37, married, of Flamingo Village, Calarian, surrendered after the incident.

Initial investigation disclosed that both policemen were drunk and had engaged in a heated argument during which Supetran punched Jupuri.

Supertran challenged Jupuri to a fistfight  which the latter accepted. He drew his pistol intended to be handed to another colleague but it accidentally went off hitting Supetran.

Jupuri went to the Sinunuc Police station were he surrendered. He was placed under police custody while Supetran was still under medication. — Dan Toribio
