Hundreds join SPMPC general assembly PDF Print E-mail

Almost 1,000 cooperative members attended the one-day 21st General Assembly and election of officers of the Sangguniang Panlungsod Multi-Purpose Cooperative (SPMPC) held at the Royce Convention Center of Grand Astoria hotel on Sunday.

The occasion started with registration of members and guests followed by the opening program with ECOZONE Deputy Administrator for Marketing and Enterprises Division Marilou Delos Reyes-Vasquez representing ECOZONE chair Christopher Lawrence Arnuco delivering an inspirational talk  and Land Bank of the Philippines (LBP) Manager Roel Tarroza giving his message.

Highlighting the occasion is the business proper presided by SPMPC President Ramsy Fernando with the report of different committees, presentation of proposed budget and project proposals followed by election proper.

SPMPC General Manager Arturo “Tuting” Cabidog, Jr., presented the coop’s financial status with a 100 million-marked financial standing with millions of net surplus compared to the previous years.

The newly-elected SPMPC officers are being headed by Ramsy Fernando, Chairman; Raymond Araneta, Vice-Chairman. The  Board of Directors is composed of Ranie Delfin, Omer Remo, Sonia San Juan, Paul Lozada and Domingo Pallar.

The newly-elected officers of the Audit and Inventory Committee are Delinda Bigay, Cristobal del Rosario and Nestor Destora while the Committee on Election (COMELEC) is composed of  Ramon Follosco, Corazon Pagotaisidro and Carmelita Agustin. — Monch L. Follosco
