Police were still trying to determine the identity of a decomposing body recovered off Tictabon in Sacol Island last Sunday morning.

A police report disclosed that seaweeds farmers spotted the body around 6:40 a.m. and reported it immediately to the police.

Police said the decomposing body of a man was clad in black denim pants, black t-shirt, medium built in body size, more or less 5’5" in height and estimated to be 35 to 40 years old.

Police said that the body bore a bullet wound at the back.

Investigators suspected that the dead man was a fisherman who was shot to death. — Dan Toribio
