2 bus holduppers nabbed PDF Print E-mail

Two holduppers were arrested few minutes after they robbed a passenger bus in LicomoWednesday night.

Nabbed were Reynaldo Malissa and Carlos Manlangit, both of Sitio Talaga, Licomo.

A police report disclosed that Malissa and Manlangit boarded the Rural Transit bus with Body No. 9540 that was heading for Pagadian Cuty from Mangusu, this city. Upon reaching Sitio Tigbao, Licomo, Malissa and Manlangit pulled out a handgun and a fragmentation grenade as they announced a heist.

Police said the holduppers divested the bus conductor and passengers of money, took the bus’ ignition key and fled on foot.

The holdup was reported to authorities and men of the Vitali police station and army soldiers along with force multipliers and barangay officials of Licomo immediately conducted hot pursuit operations

Sensing that they were being chased, the suspects hurled the hand grenade which exploded, injuring  two civilians as well one of the holduppers.

Malissa and Manlangit were later arrested and were placed under police custody.

Men of the Vitali police station have readied charges against the duo. —  Dan Toribio
