Men of the PUMA (Pulis, Marines and Army) team led by Supt. Ariel Huesca and Cpl. Reynan Alburo, of the MBLT1 arrested a businessman for possession of shabu and attempting to bribe them along Candido Street, Tetuan yesterday morning.

Arrested was Nieto Ubas Zaragoza, 52, of Waray, Tetuan. Confiscated from his possession was a medium size sachet containing suspected shabu.

Investigation disclosed that the PUMA team was conducting mobile patrol when they spotted a Mitsubishi Adventure with plate number UQP 784 driven by Zaragoza, with visible traffic violations.

When the team stopped him, Zaragoza was very nervous. He offered the police and military men P13,500.

At this point, the team held him and recovered from his possession the suspected shabu.

Zaragoza’s arrest was witnessed by Tetuan barangay officials led by Chairman John Dalipe. — Dan Toribio
