LTO-9 activates PACs PDF Print E-mail

The Land Transportation Office-9 has re-activated its Passengers Assistance Centers (PACs) for the whole region for the “Oplan Semana Santa” relative to the Holy Week observance on the first week of April.

LTO-9 Director Aminola P. Abaton, concurrently chairman of the Regional Management Council-9, said that  special operation for the Holy Week is routinary every year.

“We have always prepared a traffic scheme for passengers assistance or we have modification depending on the situation if there is big volume of passengers,” Abaton explained.

LTO- 9 will put up the PACs in bus terminals, seaports and airports in the different areas in the region like Zamboanga City,  Pagadian City, Dipolog City , Isabela City, Ipil Sibugay, and Dapitan City

LTO-9 expects a heavy influx of people in bus terminals, airports and seaports mostly taking  their vacation and coming home for the Holy Week observance.

Members of the RMC-9 are LTO-9 , Highway Patrol Group 9, Philippine Coast Guard, Maritime Police, Philippine Ports Authority and Maritime  Industry Auhority. — Allen Abastillas
