Grenade thrown on barangay official’s vehicle didn’t explode PDF Print E-mail

A former kagawad and currently a member of Barangay La Paz’s Lupong Tagapagpayapa ng Pook  escaped death in an attempted grenade attack in Ayala last Saturday night.

A police report disclosed that Sisenando Sanson, 60, was driving his multicab passing by Advent Homes at Zone 8, Ayala shortly before 8 p.m. when an unidentified man lobbed a grenade that landed on the moving vehicle.

However police said, the grenade did not explode.

The incident was reported to the police for immediate action.

During investigation, Sanson told the police that he has been receiving death threats from a certain Ryan Faustino who facing a complaint in La Paz.

Faustino reportedly got mad at Sanson as he is the official  presiding over the complaint.

Police have launched a followup operation for the arrest of the grenade-thrower. —  Dan Toribio
