It was yet another fun-filled summer day as scores of local residents took to the scenic Paseo del Mar on May 16 to participate in the Juego de Antes, an annual activity that features individual and group games played by generations of Zamboangueno children.
Team Philippine Coast Guard retained its title as Tug of War (adult category) champions. The group took home P2,000 while runner-up Team Philippine National Police bagged P1,000.
For the Tumbahan Lata event, Reymon Pagotaisidro (kid’s) and Jannessa Marie Ocampo (adult’s) dominated their respective categories, winning for themselves P200. Five participants in each category received P100 in consolation prize.
For the Domino event, Team Zamora bagged top honors and the P500 cash prize.
Team Yellow – Group 4 outwitted their competitors in the Tubigan Kid’s category event. They went home P800 richer while Team Red – Group 2 pursed P400 in consolation prize.
Teams Shoto and TFZ fought hard to grab the Gerry Base Kid’s category crown. Team Shoto seized the victory and collected P1,000 and Team TFZ took home P500.
Michael Eugene Morales, Wiljen Gihamban and Arnel Manalo grabbed top honors in the Kadang-Kadang competition adult’s category, collecting P500, P300 and P200, respectively.
Yasser Omar Villaba (Adult’s) and Richard Francisco (Kid’s) were named Sack Race champions, pursing P300 in cash prize.
Meanwhile, Team Avengers (Kid’s) and Industron Team (Adults) dominated the Shatong events. Each group took home P700.
