3 recovered stolen cars turned over to financing banks PDF Print E-mail

The Highway Patrol Group-9 has turned over three recovered stolen vehicles to two banks which financed the purchase of the three units.

A black Toyota Fortuner and a white Nissan Urban were turned over to RCBC Savings Bank while a black Mitsubishi Montero was turned over to Union Bank for proper disposition.

HPG-9 Case Officer Sr. Insp. Mervin S.  Claret said a court Sheriff in Pasay City witnessed the two vehicles’ turnover. The Toyota Fortuner was impounded  on December 29, 2014 by HPG-9 operatives for  various  violations and the HPG Vehicle Information Management System showed it was stolen in Quezon City.

The white Nissan Urban was also turne over to RCBC Bank. It was impounded by HPG-9 operatives on  January 15, 2015 when the driver presented spurious documents. It was discovered in HPG- VIMS  that it was stolen in Mandaluyong City.

Claret also reported to HPG-9 Chief Sr. Supt. Severino B. Agustin that a Mitsubishi Montero was turne over to the Union Bank. He

said that Nissan Urban was impounded  on  December 20, 2014 by HPG-9 operatives for presenting spurious documents and for sporting heavy tainted glass. When it was checked with the HGP- VIMS,  It was found out that it was stolen in Metro Manila. — Allen Abastillas
