Mayor Beng Climco has issued an executive order temporarily closing a portion of the Bougainvilla Road, fronting the Barangay Hall of Guiwan from 7 p.m. to 2 a.m. of June 17-26 to give way to the activities lined up for the celebration of the barangay fiesta dubbed “Guiwabuena”.

Barangay Guiwan will celebrate the feast of its patron saint Our Mother of Perpetual Help on June 27, and to make the occasion livelier and successful, various activities have been lined up, to be conducted in front of the barangay hall. Thus, the need to temporarily close the road thereat.

In her EO BC-123-2015, Climaco set the road’s temporary closure from 7 p.m. to 2 a.m. only from June 17-26, an directed the barangay tanod together the police to facilitate the rerouting of traffic during the period.

This, came after the Barangay Council of Guiwan passed a resolution requesting the temporary closure of the road.— VTL
