Zampen urban poor group embarks on housing project in Region 12 PDF Print E-mail

The Zamboanga Peninsula Urban Poor Alliance Inc. expands its development in Sounthern Mindanao particularly in South  Cotabato , Gen. Santos City and Sarangani province areas.

The present urban poor housing development is now in Purok Masagana, Barangay Baluan in Gen. Santos City under Phase 1 to 3.

The office of Zampen is located at the 3rd Floor of Specialist Building in Santiago Boulevard in Gen. Santos City.

Norman D.  Barte,Zampen Vice President, said the target beneficiaries of the housing project are those unemployed, daily wage earners, vendors, drivers and ordinary office workers.

Those interested can apply and avail of the housing program with one unit having 120 square meters area and a monthly payment of P350payable in 25 years. The project in Baluan is ongoing. Phase 1 is under the leadership Leofil Jaji who is the President, Phase 2 under Ernesto Casildo and Phase 3 is  under Sanilo Parba. Marbel area is also  ongoing with Esquillo Homeowner’s Assosciation, Beldad Homeower’s Association and Bignayan Homeowner’s Association.

Coming up projects are situated in Surallah, Banga, Noralla and Tacurong in South Cotabato.

Zampen President is Roy D. Barte. Secretary is Romy Ulla. Barte added that Zampen targtet are those poor people who seek to own a piece of land for their “little kingdom”. — Allen Abastillas
