Beng talks at ‘Master of War’ forum PDF Print E-mail

Mayor Beng Climaco on Friday (July 3) addressed participants to a leadership forum dubbed as “Master of War” organized by the Armed Forces of the Philippines General Staff Collegem (AFPGSC) in Camp Crame where she shared experiences on local governance.

A total of 152 student-officers taking the AFPGSC’s Command and General Staff Course Class 60, at least 13 of them are international military students from Indonesia, South Korea, Malaysia and Thailand. The course provides higher military education to selected officers with the rank of Majors and Lieutenant Colonels who are being prepared to occupy key command posts in their respective services.

The leadership forum was the culmination of the Leadership and Operational Art modules of the course.

Mayor Climaco was invited as one of the 3 panel speakers during the leadership forum held Friday, July 3 from 9am to 12 noon. The forum was purposely to integrate and tie-up all the loose ends of all the lessons (theories and models) they have learned in the modules in order for the students to become effective and relevant leaders of their respective future organizations.

Mayor Climaco talked on the topic Local Governance while her two other co-speakers- Col. Danilo Pamonag, Commander Light Reaction Regiment and BGen. Carlito Galvez, Jr. Deputy Commander, Western Mindanao Command who discussed about the Zamboanga Siege and the Peace Process, respectively. — Sheila Covarrubias)
