Soldier arrested in Tugbungan drug raid PDF Print E-mail

Men of the Tetuan Police Station under by Supt. Haywien Salvado raided on Friday the house of a former army soldier in Tugbungan and confiscated shabu, drug paraphernalia and a grenade.

Armed with a search warrant issued by the Regional Trial Court for illegal possession of firearm and Republic Act 9165, Salvado’s men swooped down on the house of Aris Joseph Bolivar, 30, and recovered sachets of shabu, drug paraphernalia and a fragmentation grenade.

Bolivar was arrested and charges have been readied against him to be filed in court.

A police report disclosed that residents of Purok 7 have provided information about Bolivar’s alleged peddling of shabu in the said barangay.

Acting on the information, policemen conducted surveillances and found out that Bolivar was indeed engaged drug tradeprompting them to seek from the court a search warrant.

Salvado that Bolivar will be charged for illegal possession of explosive and illegal possession of prohibited drugs. – Dan Toribio Jr.
