Police anti-drugs campaign nets 17 PDF Print E-mail

Operatives of the Zamboanga City Police Office and different police stations arrested last week 17 suspected drug pushers in 12 operations as the campaign against the illegal drugs trade leveled up in the city.

In his report during the press briefing Monday in City Hall, city police director Sr. Supt. Angelito Casimiro said a certain Rhea Garcitos y Radam alias “Lot-lot” and Anthony John Garcia Balisalisa were arrested June 23 at Boholano Drive, Camino Nuevo. They yielded four plastic sachets containing shabu.

A day earlier, June 22, Eric John Cruz y Flores was arrested with two sachets of shabu in Barangay Buenvista, while Edmond Cordova y Francisco was apprehended in Sitio Enrada, Barangay Bolong with three sachets of shabu. Jeric Lubaton y Ressureccion was collard with 1 sachet of shabu at Bunguiao National High School.

The police in Culianan, meanwhile, arrested Abubakar Arasad y Ramirez and Henry Damasain y Abdulla with 12 sachets of shabu at Sitio Muluan, Mercedes; Irene Antawan Usman with 11 sachets of shabu was apprehended at Gov. Lim Avenue; Ma. Jesusa Atencia y Sevilla alias Banda was arrested with six sachets of shabu.

On June 25, Sta. Maria Police Station personnel arrested Roderick Sousa y San Luis with 7 sachets of shabu at Km 5 in Pasonanca. Radzmir Asaral y Gonzaga, Vincent Atilano y Alburo, Omar Badding y Alih and Ayman Saurare y Maha were arrested June 27 at the Chinese Cemetery in San Roque. They yielded two sachets of shabu.

Adzmier Hasim Hassan, meanwhile, was arrested with only drug paraphernalia at Purok 4, Araneta Drive, Barangay Sinunuc;  Nicodemus Eusebio y Enriquez alias “Nico” was arrested June 25 with one sachet of shabu in downtown area fronting Empire Hotel, while Albaser Aidil I Kiram was arrested June 27 with eight sachets of shabu.— Vic Larato
