A 48-year-old man was shot and wounded at Purok 9, Sinunuc last Tuesday night.

Sinunuc Police Station chief Sr. Insp. Hingming Ladjaali identified the victim as Abdulkamar Sahibil Jaman. He sustained a bullet wound on the right upper portion of the chest and was taken to the hospital.

Initial investigation disclosed that Jaman was walking on his way home around 7:40 p.m.  when two men riding tandem on a Honda XRM motorcycle appeared and the backrider shot him several times at a dimly lit corner.

The gunmen sped away, while the victim was rushed to the hospital.

Policemen recovered three spent shells of .45 caliber pistol at the crime scene.
