Land Transportation Office-9 Director Aminola P. Abaton has ordered his District Officers and Senior Transportation Regulation Officers to strictly implement the “No Registration No Travel” policy within their areas of jurisdiction and maintain the delivery of efficient services and quality time management to LTO’s clients.

Abaton’s order came during a day-lon  Regional STRO’s Conference held at his office in Barangay Sta. Barbara Thursday.

Abaton said his directive is in connection with the visit of the Anti- Red Tape Task Force in  Zamboanga Peninsula which conducted an inspection of the different district offices.

“LTO’s clients are always our priority. Let’s make them comfortable and convenient in our delivery of efficient service and quality time management,” Abaton said.

Pagadian City LTO District Officer Johan Macaumbos told this reporter that he is planning to submit a proposal to Atty. Abaton  to put up  a comfort room for Lesbian,Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) so that they would feel comfortable while applying for license or renewal of their motorvehicle registration with LTO.

“And to prevent discriminations,” Macaumbos said.

It is also part of government service on gender sensitivity.

The construction of comfort rooms in the different LTO district offices is an initiative of Abaton implemented by the Department of Transportation and Communication here in the region for the convenience of clients. —Allen Abastillas
