Congressman Celso L. Lobregat was invited by the League of Vice Governors of Mindanao to enlighten league members on the issues and concerns about the draft Bangsamoro Basic Law (BBL).

Lobregat will speak before Mindanao’s vice governors, including provincial board members of the region’s provincial governments, in a conference organized by the League’s Office for Vice President for Mindanao to be  held  on Auguest 14-15 at Limketkai Hotel in Cagayan de Oro City.

Vice Governor Joey Pelaez of Misamis Oriental, vice president for Mindanao, said the league is inviting Lobregat as resource person to share with them his views on the much talked about draft organic law which has been the subject of much controversy.

Pelaez said it is the league’s program to promote awareness and activism among their constituents and for them to push for more development programs and activities that will benefit not only the whole Mindanao community but also the entire nation as well in the name of peace.

Lobregat has been in the forefront, in and outside Congress, pushing for a BBL that is feasible, acceptable, and in conformity with the Constitution and existing laws.

In one of the media interviews of Representative Neptali Gonzales II of Mandaluyong City, House Majority floor leader, he was quoted as saying that Lobregat is equivalent to10 congressmen in the course of the interpellations on the BBL in the House of Representatives.

Atty. Senen Bacani of the Office of the Presidential Assistance on the Peace Process (OPAPP) was also reported by the press to have said that Lobregat will put lawyers to shame due to his rigorous research. — Jubels Santos
