Commission on Elections District 1 Officer Atty. Stephen U. Cañete said yesterday there are 70,000 registered voters who have so far re-activated with his office their voter’s rights

Cañete said out of the 70,000 registered voters, 24,000 are new voters.The re-activation of voter’s names and registration will end on October 3, 2015.

Comelec District 1office will conduct an off-site biometrics registration and reactivation of voters in the following venues: August 2 and & 9 2015 at Centro Pastoral in Gov. Camins  Road,  August 31, August 16 & 17 at Zone 2.

Cañete said that during the off-site schedule biometrics registration and reactivation of voters there will be no office transaction schedule at main office in Pettit Barracks. Likewis with Comelec District 2 office.

Cañete advised the electorate to come early so as not to create long line that may cause trouble among impatient persons.

Cañete explained that his office always coordinates with barangay officials to prevent untoward incidents. — Allen Abastillas
