The Philippine Military Academy (PMA) invites qualified Zamboangueños to take the entrance examination, a necessary step for prospective cadets to become part of the officers training school of the Armed Forces of the Philippines.

The PMA Proctor Team-Zamboanga headed by Officer-in-Charge Lt. Gilbert Gonzaga (PN) called on City Caretaker and Vice Mayor Cesar Iturralde Friday afternoon to seek the city’s assistance in disseminating information on the Academy’s scheduled entrance examination.

To qualify for the entrance examination, applicants must be a natural born Filipino citizen, physically fit and with good moral character. S/he must be single and has never been married nor pregnant nor have a legal obligation to support a child or children. S/he should at least be a high school graduate with no administrative or criminal case.    Applicants, both male and female, must be at least 5 feet tall but should not exceed 6’4” in height. Aspiring cadets vying to enter the Academy should have been born from April 01, 1994 to April 01, 1999.

The entrance examination will be conducted at the Western Mindanao Command (WesMinCom) Gymnasium on Sunday, August 2.

All interested applicants who did not apply on line or send applications through mail will be accommodate as walk in applicants. Walk in applicants will start processing today, August 1 at the PIO,  Westmincom headquarters near the gym. Applicants must bring along their NSO birth certificate, form 137 (for high school graduates), form 138 (for college students), 2 pieces 2x2 ID picure colored with white background and valid student or license identification card.

Aside from earning the privilege of serving the country once they successfully complete their stint at the Academy, a PMA cadet will receive free college education with a well-rounded curriculum, monthly salary and allowances, guaranteed job after graduation and a progressive career as an officer in the Army, Navy or Air Force.
