Police are investigating the case of a businessman who has been reported missing since July 27.

A police report disclosed that Reynold Maani appeared at Police Station 11 around 3:24 p.m. Friday and reported that his father Araji Cua Maani, 64, married,  who was into money lending and a resident of 3181, La Purisima Street, has not returned home since July 27.

The young Maani told the police that his father was last seen by his brother Alberto Maani around 7:20 p.m. on July 27 walking along Reyes Street heading for Tomas Caludio Street purposely to collect debts from his clients.

However, the old Maani failed to return home until late in the evening that prompted his children to start looking for him.

After four days of waiting for his return, the children decided to report the incident to the police. — Dan Toribio Jr.
