The PNP’s Regional Health Service 9 has directed policemen in the region to moderate alcohol drinking, to have discipline with eating habit and engage in regular physical exercise to maintain healthy lifestyle so that their delivery of services to the people and the community as well as their obligations to the family will not be affected.

Sr. Insp. Jubaira N. Pandaog,  new RHS-9 Medical Dispensary Chief, disclosed that all policemen in the region and the entire country are required to submit themselves to a Physical Fitness Test (PFT) and ECG health test to determine if they are capable to stay and serve the Philippine National Police , the people and the country.

”Physically healthy  and mentally strong are very essentials to police service,” Pandaog said.

He said if policemen are found out tto be sick after the result of the Physical Fitness Test, RHS 9 will issue to  them medical instruction and recommendation on how to stay  healthy and how to maintain a healthy lifestyle so that they can continue to serve or retire earlier from the service.

On the other hand,  the command or unit where they are detailed will assign them in a work where they are suitable while recuperating  from the illness.

Pandaog assumed as chief of the Medical Dispensary of RHS 9 last August 3, 2015. Her former assignment was in the Philippine National Police General Hospital Health Service in Camp Crame, Quezon City. He took over the post from Chief Inspector Modesto G. Mecaydor who was re-assigned to Regional Health Service-11 in Police Regional Office 11 in Catitipan, Davao City. — Allen Abastillas
