With his act of honesty, tricycle driver Ronnie Villahermosa proved that anyone, no matter his age and station in life, can make a difference and be a hero in his own right.

Villahermosa, a resident of Southcom Village in Calarian, returned a bag containing a large sum of money to authorities after it was left behind in his tricycle by a passenger at the airport.

According to Airport Tricycle Organization President Edwin Grafia, who reported the incident, a passenger accidentally left behind a sling bag containing P133,000 in Villahermosa’s tricycle at the Zamboanga International Airport Saturday, August 8 around 5:40 in the afternoon.

Villahermosa immediately turned over the bag and money to P03 BaddonJumalail of the Aviation Police, who was then able to identify and return the bag and the money to its owner, Col. NeptaliBiolena of Metro Manila.

The city government through the Tricycle Adjudication Board lauded Villahermosa, a father of four children, for his honesty and cited his act of integrity as worthy of admiration and emulation amidst mounting complaints against abusive drivers. — Jasmine Mohammadsali
