A suspected drug pusher was shot and wounded, while his two companions were arrested in a buy-bust operation carried out by men of the Sta. Maria police station led by Supt. Ricardo Garcia in Luyahan, Pasonanca on Thursday.

Garcia said Armando Pastorin y Angeles, 32, of Luyahan, sustained a bullet wound in the leg while Rodolfo Oliveros y Iluste, 33 and Ali Riza Bantam y Sumbin, 33, were arrested.

Garcia said that during the buy-bust operation, Pastorin resisted and pulled what police thought a pistol which prompted the lawmen to shoot him on the leg.

The object on Pastorin’s hand the police thought as pistol was found out later as just a lighter.

Police immediately rushed Pastorin to the hospital for treatment.

Recovered from Pastorin’s possession were the two big sachets of shabu, marked money, drug paraphernalia and a samurai sword.

Police have readied charges against the suspects. — Dan Toribio
