Operatives of the Highway Patrol Group- 9 on Wednesday  seized a motorcycle with spurious documents.

HPG-9 Officer Sr. Insp. Mervin Claret  disclosed that the motorcycle was spotted and flagged down while HPG men led by  SPO2 Joel L. Claret were on a random  anti-carnapping operation along the Lobregat highway in Barangay Upper Calarian, this city.

Claret described the motorcycle as  a red Yamaha red model 2006 with plate number JS6357.

Initial violation of the driver identified as Ben Husain was that he was not wearing a helmet, possessing no driver license and a spurious  manual registration certificate.

The HPG operatives also discovered that the registered owner of the motorcycle is a certain Ed Ayaren of Lamitan City, Basilan.

HPG-9 Chief Sr. Supt. Joel R. Dimaano directed Claret to impound the motorcycle and coordinate with the Crime Laboratory Office- 9 for a macro-etching examination. — Allen Abastillas
