An alleged drug courier was shot dead by one of  two motorcycle-riding gunmen at Armour Village, San Roque yesterday morning.

Mark Anthony Graciano Tan, 34, single, of 2nd Navarro Street, San Roque, sustained bullet wounds in the head and was declared dead on arrival at the hospital.

Police recovered three spent shells of .45 caliber pistol at the crime scene.

Initial investigation showed that Tan was walking on his way home around 5 a.m. when two men riding tandem on a motorcycle appeared and the backrider shot him three times.

The assailants sped away after sootin Tan, witnesses told the police.

Meanwhile, Tan’s live-in-partner, Barbara, who is pregnant, told the police that she and Mark were on their way home when they separated paths after she decided to go to her friend.  Moments later, she was informed that Tan was shot.

Barbara told the police that Tan owes P700 to a drug supplier named only asToto, also of San Roque.

Policemen rushed to  the house of Toto but he was nowhere to be found.

It was gathered that Tan and Barbara had been out on the street at night time and returned return home before sunrise. – Dan Toribio Jr.
